This is a unique work - it is my very first night painting, made in 1997. It was created through a long process that began with getting up in the middle of the night to study and sketch the moonlit beach and sea near my coastal campsite. The sketches, notes and visual memories from this experience were translated in my studio into "Halfway to Dawn", which, as a limited edition print, sold out its edition several years ago.
